It may be recalled that NAB arrested opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif in a money laundering case yesterday. Some constituencies say the arrests were made in the wake of the All Parties Conference and the Gilgit-Baltistan elections. Federal Minister Sheikh Rashid and government ministers had hinted at receiving and arresting Maulana Fazlur Rehman on the basis of his property. However, according to Mubashir Zaidi, after this threat from Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F), the NAB summoned him end with withdrawal.
