PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Radio Broadcasters Forum held a ceremony to mark World Radio Day on Thursday.
On the occasion, senior journalist Rahimullah Yusufzai administered oath to the newly elected cabinet of the Forum.
Speakers on the occasion discussed the future of radio broadcasting and stations and they termed radio a family member. They demanded the government to invest in the radio sector and also ensure that it remains impartial.
The Forum president Khaista Rehman said that the body is committed to working for the uplift of the radio broadcasting.
The Forum’s general secretary said that World Radio Day would be observed every year and an award show would also be held for broadcasters soon.
The speakers also said that soon a broadcasters’ director would be prepared both in hard and online forms.
