Tribal students: Lack of internet will once again deprive them of education

Students in the tribal districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa say the government has shut down educational institutions due to the Corona epidemic, but they still do not have access to mobile and internet facilities, leaving them once again deprived of education.

On the other hand, some officials of government educational institutions in Peshawar, who did not want to be named, said they had not yet been told whether online classes would be taken or not, and if online classes would be instructed, they would specifically take them. The students will not be able to take such classes in the tribal districts as there is no internet in those areas.

Ziaullah Bangash, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s chief minister’s adviser on science and technology, said private mobile phone companies were allowed in the tribal areas and the area was allocated to various companies.
