Traffic police fined 39713 drivers for traffic violations in the last month

PESHAWAR: The City Traffic Police have issued 39713 tickets to commuters for violations of traffic rules and submitted worth millions of rupees in the national treasury.

According to a Spokesperson Shahab Khan, following the directives of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Traffic Waseem Ahmad Khalil, the City Traffic Police personnel took actions against the traffic violators.

“These actions were taken across the metropolis in which the traffic police issued challan tickets to 39713 commuters for various traffic violations including over speeding, wrong car parking, tinted glasses, driving without license and helmets etc.” he added.

He further informed that worth millions of rupees were submitted in terms of fines in the national treasury.

SSP Traffic Waseem Ahmad Khalil in his statement stated that the traffic personnel are performing their duties in hot, cold and rainy weather to maintain the normal flow of traffic and facilitate the citizens so, it is the responsibility of every individual to cooperate with the traffic personnel.

He also urged the citizens to follow the rules and regulations of traffic and fulfil your responsibility in this regard.
