Several held in anti-encroachment drive

PESHAWAR: City Traffic Police arrested several persons in operation conducted against encroachments in different areas of provincial capital, on Friday.

According to details, on the directives of acting Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) traffic Waseem Ahmad Khalil, in the supervision of SP City traffic Sahibzada Sajjad traffic police carried out actions against encroachments in the areas of  Namak Mandi, Qissa Khwani bazaar and Ashraf road bazaar. During operations traffic police arrested 21 persons and imposed fine on nine persons for creating hurdle in the way of traffic.

Acting SSP traffic Waseem Ahmad Khalil said that operation against illegal encroachment will be continued and no one will allow creating hurdle in the normal flow traffic.
