(Islamabad) Cabinet meeting chaired by the Prime Minister on Tuesday where the federal ministers criticized each other over rising inflation in the country.Minister Murad Saeed, Sheikh Rashid, Faisal Waoda and other ministers raised the issue of inflation in a meeting of the Federal Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Cabinet members demanded urgent action from the Prime Minister on rising inflation and said that provincial governments and district administrations would have to ensure availability of goods.
According to sources the meeting also discussed the rising prices of electricity, gas and medicines. Federal Minister Murad Saeed criticized Nadeem Babar and Umar Ayub and said that decisions are made here and there is no relief in electricity and gas.
The Special Assistant to the Prime Minister briefed the ministers on medicines. Railway Minister Sheikh Rashid said that people have to be listened to as medicines are expensive.
The Prime Minister assured the Cabinet members of urgent measures to reduce inflation. Federal Minister Faisal Wawda advised the Information Minister to form a strong media team.
