PESHAWAR: The district administration on Thursday issued tickets to several drivers for not possessing CNG cylinder fitness certificate or riding motorbikes without wearing helmets.
The administration continued the crackdown and checked cylinders of 150 vehicles. During checking, 62 drivers were fined for not possessing fitness certificate.
The officials also fined 36 motorcyclists for not wearing helmets while eight drivers were also arrested for installing flashlights in their vehicles.
The officials also removed CNG kits from seven school vans.
Meanwhile, the Town-I administration directed the shopkeepers on Dilazak Road to clear the footpaths in front of their shops till February 12 or else strict action would be taken against them.
