Pukhtun Nama Report
Balochistan Nationalist Party (BNP) politician and National Party leader Senator Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo has passed away at a private hospital in Karachi.
Many Pakistani politicians, government officials and the general public have expressed sorrow over the death of Hasil Bizenjo, calling it a great loss for the democracy in the country.
Jan Mohammad Buledi, the party’s central general secretary, confirmed the news and said he had been suffering from lung cancer for several years and died on Thursday evening.
Hasil Bizenjo, 62, was the son of Mir Ghaus Bakhsh Bizenjo, a prominent Balochistan nationalist politician, and was born on February 3, 1958, in the Naal area of Khuzdar district in Balochistan.
Bizenjo has long fought for a democracy and parliamentary supremacy in Pakistan, including several incarcerations during the rule of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and former military ruler Pervez Musharraf.
