Mardan Press Club members demand transfer of SHO

Police officials reject allegations of misbehave and say they refused to release an accused because they have no authority to do so without court order

MARDAN: Mardan Press Club members have criticised SHO of Par Hoti Police Station in Mardan and demanded his immediate transfer as they accused the SHO of allegedly disgracing local press club president.
It was decided in the general body meeting of press club held on Saturday. Meeting was presided over by president press club Lautfullah Lutaf.
Addressing the meeting, Lutfullah Lutaf said that on Thursday evening Par Hoti police arrested his brother Kaleemullah president of Mardan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) Mardan. He added that he along with Zahir Shah president trader union and other elders visited to police station and requested the SHO to release his brother. He added that we remained in the police station till 1 am. He added that later on the SHO also gone from the police station. He later on a Hawaldhar disgraced them and by force out them from the police station. He added that the police disgraced him. Later on it was decided in the meeting that members of press club will boycott the coverage of district police and it was also demanded in the meeting that mentioned SHO and other staff of the mentioned police station should transfer within one week and if the demand wasn’t fulfill within one week then the future plan will be announced in other general body meeting.
However, a committee included by General Secretary Mohammad Bashir Adil, Mohammad Riaz Mayar, Ashraf Khan and Musarat Assi was established in the general body meeting which will conduct negotiation if anyone want to talk on this issues. It may be noted that 13th December 2019 a person identified as Mohammad Arif resident of Katlang road Lajbar Killy submitted complaint with local police that he is legal owner of a house and some other property located at Kaskorona Swabi road. He told police that he was present at his house during that time Shakeel, Kafil and Waqas sons of Kaleemullah along with some other armed men allegedly entered his house and on gun point allegedly occupied his house and shops.
Par Hoti police station official registered case against the mentioned accused under sections 506,447 and 34 PPC. Later on the mentioned accused get bail before arrest from the local court. Later on 28th February 2020 the complainant has recorded his statement in the Judicial Magistrate (JMIC-VI) Nadeem Akhtar court under section 164 Cr PC. The complainant stated in his statement that he registered FIR against the mentioned accused at Par Hoti police station for disposing him from his property. He added that on 18th January one Kaleemullah who is father of the nominated accused as well as witness of his registered deed had also allegedly entered in to the said property illegally and since then he is enjoying the same. He stated in his statement that hence he is also charge Kaleemullah for the commission of the offence along with nominated accused in the FIR. Later on Thursday evening the Par Hoti police arrested Kaleemullah. Kaleemullah is currently president of MCCI and brother of Lutfullah Lautaf president of Mardan Press Club.
However when this correspondent contacted Station House Officer (SHO) Par Hoti police station Latif Khan he said that on Thursday evening they arrested Kaleemullah. He added that later on trader union president Zahir Shah, press club present Lutfullah Lutaf along with other elders visited the police station and requested them to release the arrest accused. He added that he did not have authority to release the accused before presenting him in the court in such sections. He added that later on, on Friday police presented the arrest accused before the court and the court granted him bail. He added that the complainant claim that Kaleemullah sold the mentioned property on him on 11 crore rupees. He added that the property remained with him for seven moth but now they again occupied the mentioned property. He added that he did not disgrace the press club president.
