Mardan: A child injure in grenade attack on the guesthouse of Jamaat-e-Islami leader

Mardan: A child was injured in a grenade attack on the guest house  of Jamaat-e-Islami district leader and former Tehsil Naib Nazim Mushtaq Simab Advocate.

According to details, unidentified persons hurled a hand grenade at the cell of Jamaat-e-Islami Mardan District Leader and former Deputy Nazim of Mardan Tehsil Mushtaq Simab Advocate between Friday and Thursday night.

A passer-by was injured in the attack, while the gate of the room was partially damaged and the windows of the room were shattered.

The injured child was shifted to the hospital where his condition is said to be out of danger.

Mushtaq Simab told the staff of CTD Mardan police station while filing the report that there was no enmity with Miraxi but on June 15, a threatening call came from a foreign number. The caller was posing as a representative of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and was demanding extortion.

CTD personnel registered a case against the unidentified accused and started investigation. After the incident, a bomb disposal squad visited the spot and declared the blast an improvised explosive device.
