Protests against the killing of university student Hayat Baloch in the Turbat area of ​​Balochistan last week in the capital Islamabad by the Burma Committee and other organizations.

The protest called for an end to extrajudicial killings in Balochistan and an end to enforced disappearances.

Protesters are called on the central government to legislate against extrajudicial killings.

Earlier in the day, Pakistan’s Human Rights Minister Shereen Mazari told the National Assembly that a militant had been arrested in connection with the killing of Hayat Baloch and that the government would punish those responsible.
