(Peshawar): Preparations for the establishment of six different economic zones in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been finalized and according to sources all these six economic zones including Rashkai, Nowshera, Ghazi, Chitral, Mohmand and DI-Khan Economic Zones, are expected to be formally inaugurated by February next year which will create 300,000 direct and indirect jobs in the province.
A meeting on Economic Zones was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister KPK Mehmood Khan in which significant progress was made in terms of industrial development and promotion of economic activities in the province.
The participants were briefed that an investment of Rs. 300 billion is expected in these economic zones. Apart from this, progress is being made on the establishment of Bannu and Buner Economic Zone.
