District Administration arrest four retailers and sealed their shops allegedly embezzling in the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme

MARDAN: District administration had taken action against four retailers for allegedly collecting money from the needy people in Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme.

Assistant Commissioner (AC) Gul Bano said that complaints were issued district administration that some retailers are embezzling in the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme started by Prime Minister Imran Khan for the needy people.

In this connection on the directive of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Abid Wazir the district administration take action and the officers inspect retailers across the district.

The district administration arrested 4 retailers and sealed their shops against which they received a public complaint against the cash withdrawal while granting 12,000 cash grants to the beneficiaries under the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme.

Legal action was also taken against the arrest retailers.

It was stated that the needy people get the full amount of 12,000 from the competent retailer and if any retailer deducts the eligible, immediately inform the district administration or the police on the spot.
