Chief Justice Peshawar High Court inaugurates judicial complex in Mardan

MARDAN: Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court, Justice Waqar Ahmed Seth on Saturday inaugurated the construction of judicial complex at local courts.
In this connection an inauguration ceremony was held at the premises of the district courts. Registrar Peshawar High Court Khwaja Wajih-ud-Din, district and session judge (DSJ) Mohammad Rauaf Khattak, Judges, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Abid Wazir, District police officer (DPO) Mohammad Sajjad Khan, district bar association Mardan, Takhatbhai, Katlang office bearers, Peshawar bar council members, lawyers and media personal participated in the inauguration ceremony.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony Chief Justice, Justice Waqar Ahmed Seth said that it was an old and outstanding demand of the lawyer’s community since long.
He added that it was because of the concerted efforts of dedicated efforts of Peshawar High Court and district judiciary with the cooperation of the district bar that it become possible.

Chief Justice on the occasion applauded the efforts of his team in materializing this long awaited occasion.

He stressed upon the need for expeditious disposal of cases, provision of basic facilities to the judicial officers and litigant public as well as the lawyers community.

Justice Waqar Ahmed Seth added that for the construction of judicial complex 17 kanals of land was transferred for the purpose. He added that the project will include 30 courts rooms, information Kiosk, offices for government pleaders, public prosecutors and probation officers, judicial lockup and modern record room, conference room and construction of mosque will be included beside other developmental works.

He continued that the building is designed in such a way that its vertical and horizontal extension would be possible to cater the future need of judiciary.
Chief arched that district Mardan being one of the oldest sessions division will provided all the facilities in terms of infrastructure. He added that though a time frame of three years is fixed for the completion of the project, however efforts will be made to complete the construction with in shortest possible time.

Chief Justice further stressed upon the need and asked the lawyers community to make all the efforts to provide cheap and inexpensive justice to the litigant public by assistant the courts honesty, legally, professionally to the best of their abilities.

He added that it is his first outing after his oath as chief justice of Peshawar high court. Chief Justice added that he attend this inauguration ceremony on the request of District Bar Association (DBA), however he argued that if the DBA invited a government representative they will also announced fund for them.

He added that however the DBA Mardan invited him and he attend the ceremony. He added that it is great honor for him. He also advised the lawyers to finish their differences. District Bar Association (DBA) president Asif Iqbal advocate and General Secretary Badshah Rehman advocate also addressed the ceremony and thanked the chief justice for attending the inauguration ceremony. During the ceremony the General Secretary used delay to call the president for speech due to which president himself come on the dice and delivered his speech before the Chief Justice speech.

At this occasion DBA office bearer’s president gifts to the chief justice of Peshawar High Court.

Earlier the Chief Justice chaired a meeting with the judges of local judiciary at district and session judge (DSJ) officer. The registrar Peshawar High Court also give briefing to the media at the DSJ office.
