Capital City Police arrests car lifter in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Capital City Police on Friday arrested a car lifter and recovered a stolen car from his possession in the limits of Faqirabad police station.

According to police spokesman, a complainant identified as Muhammad Rehman Khattak, Deputy Director in a city local government reported to police that unknown suspect stolen his vehicle in front of his flat.

Superintendent of Police (SP) city Muhammad Shoaib took notice of incident and formed a team in the supervision of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Faqirabad Alam Zeb Khan and handed over a task to trace and arrest the culprit.

A team started investigation on scientific basis and interrogated different suspects during interrogation police reach the real culprits and arrested him on the spot.

The arrested person identified as Masood son of Zahir resident of Nowshera and recovered the stolen vehicle from his possession.

During preliminary interrogation, he confessed to commit his involvement in several stolen vehicles incidents and further investigation is underway.
