He said they then filed a missing child report in the local tana.
Omar Sadiq alleges that the police did not register their case in time and didn’t made timely efforts to search her.
But local PIB police say they have registered a case in time and launched a search.
Shakir, the PIB police chief, said they had lodged a report of the child’s disappearance on Friday night when the child’s father and his companion arrived at the Mullah’s police station in the area.
Shakir said he could not yet confirm that the child had been raped but he had confirmed signs of violence in her body.
He said he was waiting for the child’s medical report, which would reveal everything.
Yesterday, the child’s family and locals protested and demanded that the killers of the child be arrested and punished.
Police officer Shakir said they had arrested two suspects and taken samples from them for medical examination.
He said an investigation was underway and efforts were being made to reach a logical conclusion.
