ANP leader shot and injured in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: An office-bearer of Awami National Party (ANP), Peshawar cabinet, was shot and injured here on Thursday.

Zeba Afridi was shot outside her home in Peshawar. ANP provincial general secretary Sardar Hussain Babak said that the ANP worker received bullet in her leg and was out of danger.

Sardar Hussain Babak said the attack on his party’s colleague outside her home proved that the government had failed to maintain law and order.

He said it was the government’s responsibility to bring the culprits to justice and provide protection to all citizens.

He said that no-one was safe in the province, adding that target killing, robberies and other criminal activities had increased in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
