(Kabul+Baghlan) A roadside bomb blast in Afghanistan’s Sarai pal province had killed at least 13 people, including 10 military personnel, while government forces in southern Helmand province have bombed Taliban strongholds with the help of fighter jets, killing a total of 26 militants Xinhua reported last Sunday.
According to media reports, after the roadside bomb blast at Sarai pal, Afghan security forces cordoned off the area and began gathering evidence, while the injured were taken to a nearby hospital. Afghan media said 10 military personnel were among those killed in the blast. No group including the Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.
On the other hand according to the Ministry of Defense, a landmine was found in Baghlan which was detonated. On Sunday the Helmand provincial government confirmed in a statement that the operation was launched last night with the help of fighter jets on a road connecting the troubled Nahr-e-Siraj district to Nad Ali killing 26 Taliban personal.
